The Criminal Law Association (CLA) is a student-run organization that aims to connect students who are passionate about criminal law at Northeastern University School of Law and to support them through speaking events, class advice, mentorship programs, networking opportunities, curriculum additions and other events. Additionally, CLA is an organization dedicated to encouraging dialogue on criminal justice concerns within the criminal legal system in the U.S. The goal is to encourage the next generation of lawyers to be effective and passionate advocates in their criminal law careers.

The Mission of the MIE PhD Council is to:

1. Empowering MIE PhD Students to succeed by providing resources, support, and opportunities to thrive academically and professionally, and to develop a holistic personality as a PhD student.

2. Fostering a strong MIE PhD Community by creating a sense of belonging and connection amongst students through networking opportunities, social events, and other initiatives.

3. Promote inter- and intra-departmental interactions and collaboration for MIE PhD students and faculty with external academic personal and professionals from other departments within Northeastern University and externally.

4. Be committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive MIE PhD student community: to pledge to safeguard the interests of all MIE PhD students by working in concert with all MIE PhD students including those from marginalized or underrepresented communities towards building an environment free of systemic societal oppression.
